our dad probably bought it because he thought the phone is nice for its price with that specs and brand. Both specs and brand are faked and your dad got badly scammed.

I feel sorry for you about it, but next time when you buy a phone make sure company has actually made such model (P8s in your case) and verify its appearance, inside look and specs with legit one. About device is easy to fake. I would rather save some money and sell the phone to buy another one.
