just try Try Control + Alt + Up (or another direction) until it orients itself in the correct manner
You may be familiar with the terms "landscape" and "portrait” as they relate to photographs -- a landscape photo is wider than it is tall, and a portrait photo is taller than it is wide. When you install the Windows operating system on your business computer, the installation program sets your computer screen's orientation to Landscape mode by default, which makes your display screen wider than it is tall. However, you can change your screen's orientation to Portrait mode at any time.
Step 1Open the Start menu and click "Control Panel."
Step 2Click "Adjust Screen Resolution" to view the Screen Resolution section of the Control Panel.

Step 3Click the "Orientation" drop-down menu to display a list of options: "Landscape," "Portrait," "Landscape (Flipped)" and "Portrait (Flipped)."
Step 4Click your desired orientation option to have Windows display a thumbnail preview of what it will look like.
Step 5Click "Apply." Windows changes the screen orientation and displays a popup window asking if you would like to keep the changes.
Step 6Click "Keep Changes" to keep the new orientation or "Revert" to revert to the original orientation. Click "Apply" if you decide not to revert to your original orientation.
